My os crashed last week and I just got my computer back, but everytime I go to a new web page, I get a popup that asks if I want to run Activex plugins. What do I need to do to get it to stop this?

Can you tell us more. I have been trying to figure out "active x" for awhile. Is that what caused your computer to crash? Do you have a firewall, etc.? What os?

Click Internet Options which is found in Tools..

Then go to Security, then Custom Level.. You will see what to do once in there.

It's going to be a setting that under security options that you'll want to change from prompt to allow.

I've got an activeX problem of my own....won't work in IE but is fine in Firefox. I really need to just give in & reformat this bastard, but man....what a pain in the ass.
